  Pre-Engineered Modules
 
 

For the convenience of the switchboard builder and OEM customer, a range of easy-to-install modules containing capacitors, contactors, busbar mounted fuses and busbars for connecting multiple modules together have been developed and are available for installation into existing cubicles.

  • Suitable for inclusion into a standard 400mm deep x 600mm wide switchboard.

Modules measure:
           430mm (H) x 510mm (W) x 370mm (D)

 

 


 

 

 

 

 


 

  • 50kVAr    in 2 x 25kVAr steps.
  • 100 kVAr in 1 x 50 plus 2 x 25 kVAr steps.
  • 150kVAr  in 3 x 50 kVAr steps.

Ordering Code

  • Module with 440V capacitors suitable for use with reactors use Part No ELE131440/...kVAr
  • Module with 525V capacitors suitable for use with reactors use Part No ELE1315251/...kVAr

The required capacitor output may be calculated as follows:
  • Determine the factor "k" by matching the point where actual and target power factor intersect.
  • Calculate the required capacitor rating with the formula Qc =k x P
    Example

    Actual power factor = 0.70, Target power factor = 0.96, Real power (P) = 35kW

    Capacitor output (Qc) = k x P
                                  
 = 0.73 x 35kW
